Thanks to a traveling trunk borrowed from Gettysburg National Park, the BMS Library was transformed into an interactive Civil War Museum this week. Eighth grade students spent three days rotating through seven stations to explore photographs, medical equipment, poetry, pastimes, uniforms, slang, and accouterments related to the Civil War. They created artifacts to document their learning using ChatterKids, PicCollage, and the video camera on the iPads. They uploaded their artifacts and reflected on their learning in Google Classroom on the Chromebooks. Along the way they competed against each other in Kahoot!, created a KWL chart using the video camera/green screen and sticky notes. Stay tuned for a sampling of student work! Thanks, Ms. Bagwell and Mrs. Lonsberry, for all your hard work!
