The Nueces & Bandera River Authority presented to Mrs. Schmit's Environmental Science classes Wed, March 28th. Pictures below are students actively participating in an activity about pollution on a water shed table or watching a demonstration about pollution in a water well model.
Mrs. Simon's 8th graders use FlipGrid to explain the results of their science experiment. Morgen Ayers of the Bandera Country River Authority and Groundwater District conducted a two-day workshop during advisory last week. The twenty students who attended the workshop learned about the importance of healthy riparian systems for the environment and for development. Students built riparian systems and tested their models to see how the fared when faced with a flooding event.
The BMS science teachers were awarded a Bandera ISD Education Foundation grant to purchase Chromebooks to transform learning in the science classes.
Miss Allison was awarded a BISD Education Foundation grant for her STEM class. Stay tuned to see how the students incorporate Ozbot and Sphero robots into their curriculum!
