Twenty-one BMS students competed in the first BMS Battle of the Books contest, funded by a BISD Education Foundation grant. Battle of the Books kicked off in October during Teen Read Week. Teams were formed, and students committed to reading a set of ten books by March. Last week, the students competed in a three-round March Madness event. Tuesday they competed in a Kahoot. Wednesday they competed in a UIL-style written competition testing their knowledge of each book. Thursday, three teams competed in a relay competition during a school assembly. A great big Bulldog thank you to Ms. Bagwell for making a super-sized scantron for the relay competition and to Miss Benedict and the cheerleaders for their assistance in managing the competition.
