The first BMS dance of the year was a great success. Over 150 students turned out for fun in the cafeteria. A great big thank you to Mrs. Carter, Miss Gotthardt, Miss Chambers, and Mrs. Frierson for joining the students on the dance floor!
A great big Bulldog thank you to Mr. Kevin Cooley for bringing Drumming Around to BMS. Mr. Cooley worked with eighteen students for 30 minutes and then the students and Mr. Cooley led the entire school in an interactive session of sound and teamwork. Along the way, students learned the importance of persevering in the face of their First Attempts In Learning. By working together, they harnessed their creativity to create a beautiful noise!
During their visit to BMS today, our Ukrainian visitors presented our library with a book of postcard sketches of the Wooden Churches of Tysmenychchyna. The postcards highlight the "rich historical and cultural past of the region." A big Bulldog thank you to our special guests, their Bandera hosts, and their interpreters.
The BMS gym rocked this morning with this year's first pep rally. Congratulations to our band, cheerleaders, and athletes for a fine job. The annual reading fundraiser kicked off today, too. Go Spurs! Go!
