The 8th grade girls played their final game of the season tonight (2/1/18). Although both teams lost both teams have improved immensely over the course of the season. A lot of heart, hustle and effort went into the season even if our records don’t reflect it. B-Team lost 14-46 Magee had 5 points. Jaeger has 3 points. Herman, Knowles, Pearson, each had 2 points. A-Team lost 20-40 Oullette had 7 points. Guajardo had 5 points. Edwards had 4 points. Bostain and Butler had 2 points each by Coach Sowell
The 7th Grade Lady Bulldogs took on the Kerrville Lady Spikes in tonight's matchup to end the season. The B-team played hard, and kept fighting until the very end. However, they ultimately came up short 9-21. They have made tremendous improvements since the beginning of the season, and it has been an honor and a privilege to coach this great group of girls! Their tenacity on the defensive end has been the story of their season. The A-team came out fighting striking first, and never gave up the lead for the entire game. One of the highlights of the game was guard Jetta Martinez hitting a three nothing but net at the buzzer going into halftime to give the Lady Bulldogs a 12-6 lead. Kerrville fought to come back, but Bandera kept the Lady Spikes at bay to finish the game 18-16. The girls wanted to dedicate their win to Coach C, who was unable to attend tonight's game, for her hard work and dedication she has given to the A-team as their head coach this season. by Coach Sowell
The 7th Grade Lady Bulldogs faced off against Medina Valley in an away game tonight. B team played extremely hard, despite missing key players due to illnesses. First half was close, but eventually Medina Valley ran away with the game and had a 17 point advantage. However, the Lady Bulldogs fought hard to bring it back to within 10, but ended the game with a 15 point deficit. The B team score was 37-22. The A team played one of the best games they have played all year. Neither team got more than 5 points ahead and it was a constant battle back and forth. We were able to have a chance to win with 6 seconds left down by one, but ultimately fell short 28-27. Both teams will be back in action at home on Thursday, February 1st for their last game of the season against Kerrville. by Coach Dumont
