Join Morgen Ayers for a fun-filled advisory beautifying our campus. Participate in a community service event while learning about how using native plants benefits our environment. Wednesday, May 13. One station was taught by a community member (and BMS parent) who processes her own yarn in the same way a pioneer from the 1890s would---starting with fresh-cut raw wool, cleaning, dying it with naturally made dyes (like thistle and the red bug that lives in the white fuzz on prickly pear) and spinning it. Students observed all parts of the process and carded their own wool. What a great learning opportunity.
